A High Definition (HD) over the air antenna from DISH Network or your local DISH Network Retailer is a great solution for those not able to receive their local ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX HD channels via satellite.

An HD Over the Air antenna allows you to receive HD television signals broadcast in your area by local television stations.

The type of antenna you need will depend on your distance from the local television tower(s), the proximity of the television towers to each other, trees, buildings and other additional factors. Our customer service agents will qualify you based on address or your local Retailer will help you understand what is needed.

Your local station may choose to broadcast in one of two formats, digital standard definition (SD) or digital high-definition (HD), depending on the time of the day and the programming available. Your local broadcaster’s website will show what times you will receive HD versus SD digital programming.

DISH Network’s state-of-the-art ViP receivers are specifically designed to provide the most HD content available and give you access to the program guide to conveniently display all available HD Over the Air and satellite channels (you must subscribe to standard definition locals for integration into the guide).

DISH Network supports the following HD Over the Air antennas:

This small compact design will blend with roofs.

Its small size and design allows for versatile mounting locations such as walls, roofs, patios, attics and railings.

These antennas are larger and needed for customers who are further away from the television station’s broadcast towers. While there are two different Yagi models that may be used, the HD 7084 is more common.
