As long as your TV subscription includes local channels AND all of your TVs are connected to that service, you don’t need to do anything. If you don’t have one or both of the above, please see below.

a) Subscribe to local channels through your TV provider
This is the easiest way to continue receiving your local channels, where available. Contact your TV provider for more information.

b) Upgrade to a digital receiver that has a digital over-the-air tuner
Receivers with built-in digital over-the-air tuners allow you to receive your local channels over-the-air. Contact your TV provider for more information.

a) Connect it to your existing TV provider
Contact your provider to find out how you can connect that stranded TV to your existing TV subscription.

Many DISH Network receivers support two TVs with one receiver so it may be as easy as connecting the cable from the existing receiver to your stranded TV.

b) Purchase a digital-to-analog converter box
Converter boxes convert digital TV signals into analog TV signals so that you can continue viewing your local broadcast channels like NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX. There are many converter boxes available ranging in price from $40 to $70 plus tax. Certain boxes are eligible for $40 off through the government coupon program.

One such coupon-eligible converter box is DTVPal by DISH Network. DTVPal is eligible for $40 off with your government coupon. DTVPal has analog pass-through—allowing you to watch both analog and digital channels plus it has a FREE on-screen program guide, parental locks, closed-captioning and more. Visit www.dtvpal.com for more information.
